Debra Ward

Workplace Strategy, Experience and Culture Consultant

Debra Ward is a true entrepreneur having led, started and sold several businesses across three continents, starting out at just 16. 

Her origins are in hospitality bolstered by a commerce degree in Hotel and Food and an MBA in Organisational Behaviour, Development and Change.  Her credentials also include Diplomas in Workplace Psychology and in Digital Marketing and she is a Certified Executive Coach.

Debra’s Own business, live love learn, works with global organisations helping them to create, nurture and protect corporate culture in an agile world through people, service and workplace.

Previously Debra was the Global Transition Director for Barclays, the UK Managing Director for Camm & Hooper Events, the EMEA Human Experience Director, the EMEA Managing Director for Condeco,  and the Global Managing Director for Macro FM.

In 2007 Debra and her team founded Mitie Client Services which, in only 5 years, grew to 1000 team members turning over £25 million. The company was list on the best small company to work for in the London Sunday Times Top 100 and received their coveted Special Training award, Won a WIFM Service providers of the year award and best business Award. 

Debra has earned several industry awards, most recently being named as one of UK’s Top 10 (Exemplar) 2023 Workplace Leaders. 

Using this success as a platform to help women, minority groups and those facing challenges has always been important to Debra. She was the Chair of Women in Facilities Management group, founded Mitie’s WOW (Women of Work) initiative and has mentored over 40 young women across hospitality, FM and Tech industries. 

Debra believes strongly in giving back and supports charities such as Victoria Passage homeless shelter, Give Out, WaterAid and MacMillan Cancer Support.
